John Stodder Jr. is a professional communicator whose 35-year career encompasses public affairs, public relations, political campaigns, environmental policy, children’s services, journalism and social media.
John has worked in journalism, government and with global public relations firms. He was head of Public Affairs in the LA office of Edelman; worked as a reporter for City News Service, and was Director of Social Media for The Dolan Company, a business and legal news publisher.
He served in the administrations of LA Mayor Tom Bradley and LA County Supervisor Ed Edelman, playing central roles in the creation of the Dept. of Children and Family Services, the county’s first programs in response to the HIV/AID epidemic, and the City of LA’s recycling and stormwater programs.
John is a graduate of UC Berkeley's English dept. and its master’s program in journalism.
