I’m a native New Yorker, which explains my sarcastic view of the world and propensity for seeking out oddball personalities to write about. My entire professional career was spent in the Northwest - 13 years as a newspaper reporter, including 10 at The Vancouver Columbian, and then 24 years as Communications Coordinator for the Centennial School District in Portland.
In retirement I seemed to have latched on to making jewelry, while still enjoying travel and the outdoors, taking a good photo once in a while and escaping the news by faking my way through growing a garden.
